fig. 1. family tree of the gods
first Ellea was formed from the chaos, she started shaping the earth from the chaos that surrounded her. One day when walking on the earth she found another being, whether she had made it or not she did not know, now it was hers. Clypeus and Ellea fell in love and created the rest of the earth. Chaos reigned the earth, letting the the nature grow wild and the animals destroy and make.
first Ellea and Clypeus created Eandrys, god of nature, and Gercus, god of life, and the first plants and animals grew. Then Elysium, the god of trickery was created, and life could create it's own path. Then The Mist, god of death, Hieronymus, second god of trickery, which was a more evil version of Elysium, and Synzaes, god of art were created. Eandryl and Synzaes together created Gybras, god of knowledge and also created The Stars.
The different gods are makers of different races. Gybras created the elves, Gercus created the humans, Eandryl created the dwarves, Elysium created the gnomes and Synzaes created the halflings.
Ellea and Clypeus did not agree with the ways of their children as the chaos they had once created way slowly being taken away by the creation of their children. They went to war which caused a big impact on the mortals which marked the end of the first age. At the end of the was Clypeus and Ellea were locked up on a separate plane which no one has been able to find ever since.
There are different churches for the different gods and in most big cities you will find one for every god. Small cities will usually have one church for a god that is important to them and a church that is dedicated to every god. Generally praying to a god once a month is enough worship as there are big festivals throughout the year that have big offerings for a god. People whose job has to do something with a specific god (such as farmers or people that use magic) will usually pray to that god every couple of days.
